Planning for future growth operations starts with depth of vision and clarity of purpose. A solid vision and a clear plan paves the way towards discovering “new” technologies to increase production and raise bottom line profits. As operations grow in scale, advancements in hemp processing equipment (and technology) becomes a necessity.

What’s the current availability of advanced hemp processing and decortication technology?
Recent innovations in hemp technologies are continuing to help new and existing companies develop “hemp-based” products with an increasing amount of ease. Hemp technology companies – such as Canadian Greenfield Technologies Corp. – are utilizing modern tech advances to streamline new product developments and innovations.
Innovative hemp technology companies continue to push the envelope for what’s possible to craft with hemp. The basic aim of hemp technology companies is to create more hemp-based products, in less time and with higher quality.
What equipment are companies using to process and refine hemp?
Advancements in decortication techniques are the foundation of hemp refinement and product innovation technologies. Canadian Greenfield has developed manufacturing machinery that takes raw hemp (straight from the field) and processes it. Once processed, the raw hemp gets separated into three separate basic building blocks (YouTube Video Here) – that will go on to craft a variety of commercialized hemp products.
Three building blocks, Greenfield’s machinery begins with are hemp fibers, hurds and leaves. These separate hemp derivatives allow for special elemental mixing to produce unique hemp products – in mass production. See Greenfield’s video on Hemp Fiber Production Train

Hemp refining equipment on today’s market?
Access to hemp processing and refining factories are growing in the US and are limited to a hand:)ful of options. On January 9, 2018, New York became the first state in the US to receive government funding (assistance) to process hemp. Receiving a $650,000 government check will help the emerging hemp industry build a $3.2 million hemp processing facility. With the NY government helping fund hemp facilities, other states could begin following suit.
Modern hemp refining equipment and how it works?
PureHemp Technology operations began with the ability to process 1,200 pounds per day (dry weight) of raw hemp. In 2018, PureHemp Technology is aiming to process 4-tons per day using a “small” commercial sized CCR (Continuous Countercurrent Reactor). By 2021, their goal is to process 40+ tons of hemp per day.
PureHemp Technology is one of a handful of hemp refinery companies – in the US – to convert raw hemp into finished compercialized “hemp-based” products. Utilizing a patented technology developed into what’s now called a CCR (Continuous Countercurrent Reactor). Since CCR hemp refining machinery is a patented technology, technical details are limited.
How does CCR (Continuous Countercurrent Reactor) technology convert hemp into hemp based products?
Basic conceptual processes (and components) takes raw (solid) hemp stalk and moves a liquid reagent in the opposite direction. This processing method is “said” to be an effective means of separating hemp into its various intermediate elements.
CCR (Continuous Countercurrent Reactor) hemp technology demonstrates its abilities by deconstructing hemp into basic building blocks. These “intermediate” materials become the fundamental material(s) in hemp based products.
CCR technology deconstructs hemp into the following components:
- Pulp (cellulose fraction) is used in making paper and packaging products as well as hemp glucose sugar.
- Lignin is used to make chemicals and plastics.
- Sugars are used as sweeteners in beverages (beer) and in chemicals (organic ethanol) and other plastics (packaging, posters, film, etc).
- Flowers create PCR (Phytocannabinoid Rich) oils for consumption in health and wellness products.
- Seed oil contains zero cannabinoids and used as hemp seed oil, and other food and cooking applications.
Once CCR production equipment widdles hemp down into its individual components, more opportunities, for unique creations, become a possibility.
What’s the future of hemp technologies & machinery?
As the increasing demand for hemp-based products continues to rise, the practical value and useful applications also expand. With more access to domestic (local) hemp refinement and processing facilities, the projected cost – at every stage of production – could begin to go down.
With more interest and availability of Individual hemp components, business owners and technology officers can produce a large variety of industrial products, suited to individual technical specifications. With the US legalization trend picking up momentum, industrial hemp cultivation, refining and processing are creating opportunities. Those who stand to benefit from industrial hemp opportunities include; farmers, investors, final product manufacturers, entrepreneurs and more.
